Learning journey to the science centre eco-garden

Hey everyone, we are going on our learning journey to the science centre eco-garden...



Look! Look! Can you see that?


It's time to eat..we are so hungry already!



Look what we saw! A huge chameleon! We saw how it slowly creeped up to its bowl of water.



Wow! Can you see that? We saw so many different types of plants and trees.

Here we are..up on a tree house :-) We can look at the trees and plants from high up here.

We saw a big moth too.

It's time to eat again.. we are hungry!

Hooray! We went into the science centre next!

Some of us tested our strength by hitting the hammer on the tin.

We had so much of fun at the eco-garden and at the science centre :-)

And Tong Ning is going to another school which is nearer to her new home..

On Tong Ning's last day in ZPS, she gave out marshmallows to all her classmates.

Our visit to the zoo (30/8/07)

We are going to the zoo! Yeahh!!!

We just got our clipboards and our worksheets.



Here we are...waiting for our bus. Come on bus..come quickly!

An ostrich. Look at its long neck.

We also saw a lion and a lioness. They were fighting with each other. It was scary!

It's time for us to eat. We are so hungry!

We are at the auditorium. We are going to learn about the different types of animals. (amphibians, reptiles, mammals, fish and bird)

After that,we went to watch the elephant show. The elephants are so clever.

While we were watching the show, it started to rain. Oh no!!
We quickly put on our raincoats and walked quickly to the bus shelter.

When we reached the shelter, we took out our raincoats and waited for the bus to come.

1E's poetry recitation

On Wednesday, it was poetry recitation day for all the Primary 1 classes. Our class performed 2 poems: Walking through the jungle and 1,2 buckle my shoe..

Racial Harmony Day celebrations 20/7/07

It was Racial Harmony Day celebrations today! We wore our traditional costumes to school today. It was so interesting to see what my friends were wearing.

These are the costumes worn by the Indian pupils. They are so colourful and nice!

This is how we have to give oranges when we go visiting. Yu Shun is giving 2 oranges to Hwee Wen.

James and Thomas brought a Welsh flag and told us why the red dragon is on the flag.

They told us that there were 2 dragons: A red dragon and a white dragon. In a fight between the 2 dragons, the red dragon won the fight. That is why, the red dragon has its picture on the Welsh flag.

After watching the concert in the hall, Thomas showed us how to dance a Malay dance.

Look at all of us! Don't we all look so nice in our costumes?

Come on, those of you who didn't wear your costumes, join us :-)

We even had a class party at the end of the day. We had curry puffs, sweets from Dubai, Kueh Balut, oranges and chocolate coins. Jiyeon also brought spicy Kimchi. We had a feast!

It was a wonderful day! We learnt so much about each other.

I want my mum! - role play 17/7/07

Jiyeon has lost her daddy at the beach! :-( She goes around asking people at the beach if they have seen her father.

She asks this group of children who are building sandcastles at the beach. But they don't know where her father is.


She asks this group of children playing beach ball in the sea where her father is. They point to a man sitting under an umbrella.


Jiyeon finds her father sitting under the umbrella. :-) Her father tells her that he has been there all the while.
