Racial Harmony Day celebrations 20/7/07

It was Racial Harmony Day celebrations today! We wore our traditional costumes to school today. It was so interesting to see what my friends were wearing.

This is the Chinese costume worn by boys.

These are the costumes worn by the Indian pupils. They are so colourful and nice!

This is how we have to give oranges when we go visiting. Yu Shun is giving 2 oranges to Hwee Wen.

James and Thomas brought a Welsh flag and told us why the red dragon is on the flag.

They told us that there were 2 dragons: A red dragon and a white dragon. In a fight between the 2 dragons, the red dragon won the fight. That is why, the red dragon has its picture on the Welsh flag.

After watching the concert in the hall, Thomas showed us how to dance a Malay dance.

Look at all of us! Don't we all look so nice in our costumes?

We even had a class party at the end of the day. We had curry puffs, sweets from Dubai, Kueh Balut, oranges and chocolate coins. Jiyeon also brought spicy Kimchi. We had a feast!

It was a wonderful day! We learnt so much about each other.

I want my mum! - role play 17/7/07

Jiyeon has lost her daddy at the beach! :-( She goes around asking people at the beach if they have seen her father.

She asks this group of children who are building sandcastles at the beach. But they don't know where her father is.


She asks this group of children playing beach ball in the sea where her father is. They point to a man sitting under an umbrella.


Jiyeon finds her father sitting under the umbrella. :-) Her father tells her that he has been there all the while.

Concert in class! 3/7/07

We had a concert in class!! Some of our classmates entertained us.

Some of us were the audience..

Danial Iskandar was the narrator.

Aditi, Jiyeon and Iqbal sang 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars'

Shawn, James and Vickneswary played instruments for us.

Thomas, Zhong Jun and Jeroid danced a funny dance for us. It was so funny. Hehehehe

Grumpy Elephant - role play (29/6/07)

We acted out the story of 'The Grumpy Elephant'.

Nicholas was the 'page turner' and Claudia was the 'teacher'



Jiyeon was the parrot, Jeroid was the elephant and Iqbal was the monkey.


We acted it out again. This time, Aditi was the parrot, Tashan was the elephant and Jun Hao was the monkey.
